Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure- Orlando

 

It’s just like watching your favorite TV shows and movies in real life, except with the ultimate ride-y things like twists, turns and drops. Face villains more menacing than your kids pre-churros. Save the earth daily or even hourly. Oh and dragons, THEY HAVE DRAGONS. And one of them even breathes real fire so that’s cool (err hot). This is way beyond the movies. Take the Hogwarts express train or visit Jurassic Park all in one day! 

 

Volcano Bay Water Park

 

In their quest for a new island home, the fabled Waturi people searched high and low for the perfect island paradise — and they found it at Universal Volcano Bay water theme park, part of Universal Orlando Resort. Split into four distinct areas anchored by the towering, 200-foot-tall Krakatau volcano, the park is a stunning testament to the Waturi philosophy: “Water Is Life and Life Is Joy.”This imaginative water theme park is equal parts vibrant and serene. Resort-level amenities and creative menu offerings only add to the South Pacific island appeal. Sip a specialty cocktail or sample Polynesian delights as you plunge into island life.

Universal Epic Universe (Opening 2025)

Some of the creative team behind Universal Epic Universe introduces details about this amazing new theme park, opening 2025 at Universal Orlando Resort. Epic Universe is Universal Orlando Resort’s fourth theme park, built on 750 acres of land, just a few miles from Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure and Universal Volcano Bay. This new offering will transport guests to expansive, vivid worlds filled with awe-inspiring attractions, entertainment, hotels, dining and more. Epic Universe is made up of five different worlds, all connected through Celestial Park, the first world you’ll experience once you walk through the Emerald Gate and the Chronos device at the entrance to Epic. “In our story, Chronos is this giant machine used to harness the energy of the Universe that powers all of Celestial Park, allowing us to open the portals to other worlds.”

Once you’re in Celestial Park (and I’ll get more into it below), you’ll have access to four portals, which are tall, obelisk-like structures, that take you into the other fully-themed, immersive worlds.

How do you get to Epic? Instead of parking in the main parking garage and accessing the theme parks through Universal CityWalk, you’ll drive directly to where the new theme park is located (and yes, there will also be complimentary transportation connecting the entire Universal Orlando Resort destination!).
